Savory is mostly used in the kitchen, but is has incontestable medicinal virtues. It has been used for many decades. In Antiquity, it was declared to be a warming and drying plant. Due to its warming effect, it is used for infections of the respiratory tract (bronchitis).
It has powerful antibacterial properties which allow the treatment of fungal infections and candidiasis.
Caution: to be avoided during pregnancy. Not to be used for long periods without medical supervision or that of a therapist.
