Properties and usage:

Anti-inflammatory, astringent, antiseptic, purifying, estrogénic. Stops hemorrhages, heals wounds, relieves muscular contractions.

Effects on the organisme:

Used internally, that is as an infusion, capsule or extract, marigold heals the digestive system inflammations such as gastritis or a gastric ulcer.

Marigold contributes to eliminate waste and to re-establish good liver and gall bladder functioning. It especially treats small skin problems. It can be applied on cuts, scrapes or wounds, on inflammations or sun burns.

Marigold is also effective for acne and cutaneous eruptions. It heals athlete's foot, candidiasis, ringworms, nappy rash in babies, and soothes sore nipples of breast feeding mothers.

It is an antiseptic. Some of its constituents are fungicides, antibacterial and antiviral. It has a healing action of capillaries, which explains its effectiveness on cuts, burns, varicose veins and a variety of inflammations.

Marigold mildly stimulates estrogen production. It relieves menstrual cramps and regulates the menstrual cycle. As an infusion, it can be used for vaginal douches in cases of vaginal candidiasis.
