Celery seeds have a mild diuretic action and a strong effect as an antiseptic.

Effects on the organism:

It is more often used in the kitchen than as a medicine. The celery branches and its grains treat urinary problems, rheumatism and arthritis. As a diuretic, it contributes in the cleansing of the organism by eliminating toxins. Its seeds effectively evacuate gas from the digestive system. They relieve abdominal pains related to bloating.

The properties of this plant are known since at least 3000 years. Throughout history, the celery has always been eaten as a food and its seeds used medicinally.

Today, the seeds are used to treat gout and certain rheumatisms. It rids the kidneys of their waste and reduces the acidity in the system. The seeds also treat arthritis, as they detoxify the body and improve circulation in the muscles and the joints.

Effective contre cystitis, it disinfects the bladder and the urinary tract. It also treats pulmonary ailments, such as asthma and bronchitis. In association with other plants, it contributes to reduce hypertension.
